6 word Saturday- 4 lbs of ferocity

'Bella's looking at me all suspicious'
She's got a dog bone on the sofa with her, saving it for later.
She thinks I Want it.
She's eye balling me as I pet her.

***

Bella Swann The Dog I Stole is her full name.
Bella for short.
I stole the bitch from my ex's now ex wife to be.
The whole fucked up story is well,
fucked up.
At the time I received my Bella the ex was still my boyfriend.
He told me we were dog sitting for a friend.  (a lie)
A couple weeks later he told me that there was no friend (another lie)
and he got Bella because he wanted a chihuahua
(a 4 year old mutt chihuahua at that with no papers to prove her heritage and bloodline).
Alas, I was resigned to love this little, mean dog.
If she were a pit bull, she would have long ago
been shot by the cops in a whole mauling incident.
But since she's only 4lbs of ferocity, most just laugh at her
when she's growling and bearing her teeth.
Bella has documented (by me) behavior and emotional issues.
She has turned into my guardian; she sits on me while I am awake
and she lays beside me when I am asleep.
If I am approached or
if someone even reaches for the remote
she goes into attack mode.
She stands, barks, leaps at and
attempts to gnaw on the person approaching.
She is my loyal bitch.

A couple weeks after he revealed that Bella was in fact our dog and we were not 'sitting',
did I get the real story.
He had a girlfriend who we will call The Jersey Whore.
And Bella was her dog. (the truth)
Long story short, he moved out of my house and in with her.
It was a tense situation to say the least.
One afternoon at the supermarket I got a call on my cell from him saying
that he wanted my dog returned to them at once.
Jersey Whore had changed her mind.

After a month of enjoying her company and
understanding the bond between dog and owner,
I loved that 4 lbs of ferocity.
She had latched onto me as my devout follower and stalker dog
I refused to give her back to the Jersey Whore.

That is how I got my dog Bella.

  1. I bet she is a great companion for you! But boy, she is awfully small! I'd worry about stepping on her and hurting her! I hope you have a nice Thanksgiving!

  3. I'm glad you kept her! If your ex's bitch didn't appreciate the 4 lbs of ferocity, she doesn't deserve her.

  4. Now, this is quite the tail, ahem... the tale...
For having been bitten by a chihuahua when I was a kid, I can attest to their ferocity!!
    Damn thing!!

  5. That must be the most interesting "how I got my pet" story I've ever read. I think you and Bella were meant to be together!
